The Isle of Palms is less than 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. Special events are always

happening in Charleston. Our annual spring Spoleto Festival USA, Historic Charleston Foundation’s Festival

of Houses, Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, The Cooper River Bridge Run, The Charleston Food and Wine

Festival and the Preservation Society of Charleston’s Fall Tour of Homes bring visitors to Isle of Palms year

after year.

On the Isle of Palms we enjoy mild temperatures during the winter months, warm temperatures during the

Spring, when our flowers are at their height of bloom; cool breezes on the beach during the sunny Summer

months and comfortable temperatures during the Fall months. The average ocean temperature from May to

September is 81 degrees.
